The real soul of a multiform and complex city such as Rome is can be better perceived when moving around by bike; our attempt will be to offer you a less conventional aspect of Rome, trying to skip the hilliest part of the Seven Hills!
We rent the bikes at
Via del Corso, the main street of Rome. We pedal to
Piazza del Popolo, via di Ripetta, the
Ara Pacis until the heart of the political life of Italy: the Parliament, Chigi Palace,
the Column of Marcus Aurelius. Then, we visit the
Pantheon, the greatest temple of the ancient Rome, where we can also stop for a refreshing ice-cream and we pass by
Piazzza Navona in order to reach the Renaissance quarter: Campo de’ Fiori, Farnese Square and via Giulia.
We see
Piazza Venezia and the National Monument before taking the
Fori Imperiali, which leads to the
Colosseum. We tour around the
Circus Maximus, from where we admire the ruins of the Caesar’s Palaces and we return towards
Piazza Venezia in order to reach the
Trevi Fountain. Then, to the
Spanish Steps and finally, back to the via del Corso, where the tour ends.
